The Sumba Story
Our story begins almost a decade ago in a trampoline park. The industry was young and growing fast, and everyone was playing catch-up.
Mike, our President, noticed something: even the most safety conscious FECs weren’t being protected when incidents happened. And even when it wasn’t their fault, they were paying for it through settlements, expensive insurance premiums, and lawsuits.
That’s because even though they were doing everything right, they couldn’t prove it.
Mike’s an engineer. He’s obsessed with safety (and solving problems). Before FECs, he spent his career making car assembly lines safe and efficient.
Kai, Will, and Mark joined a little later. They care deeply about building tools that not only work, but are a delight to use — especially for ground staff, monitors, and managers. After all, it doesn’t matter how safe your tool is if no one uses it.
We’ve worked extensively with leading FEC owners and operators, risk experts, insurers, and industry leaders. Together, we’ve built the complete risk management system tailored to the specific needs of our industry.
